Here are some videos and pictures of my Aquaponics system taken on the Easter weekend. I removed the greenhouse from around everything and cleaned out all the wheat grass that my roommate thought we would eat. I found that there was some ant colonies living under both of my large strawberry plants. Somehow they made a colony right above the flood zone, I found I'm sure thousands of them living in the root system. I think that it's a probably a good to have to have two large colonies living around my plants at all time, but I'm not an expert. I'm hoping they stick around throughout the Summer to keep pests off of the plants, but I imagine they would prefer to live in the ground were it will cooler once it gets hot outside. I also found some spiders inside the root systems, which is also pretty cool.
My mother has been sending me pictures of the strawberries that she picks in the mornings. The plants themselves are doing well, but the slugs are very persistent. Below is a video of me feeding them to my fish.
